DAY 1: Nairobi

On arrival at JKIA you are met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Assisted through check-in and shown to your rooms. Lunch / dinner on own account. Overnight at NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL (bed & breakfast). www.nairobi.com

DAY 2: Nairobi / Amboseli

After breakfast and check-out, you are met by our driver/guide for the drive south east of Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, famous for its scenery with a backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arriving in time for lunch, check in at the lodge followed by a short rest. Depart later for an evening game viewing drive returning at sunset. Day 3: Amboseli

Spend the day on morning and afternoon game viewing drives (or a full day game drive with picnic lunches) returning for lunch. During game drives you are likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, Gazelles, Impala and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Lions can also be spotted on the fringes of the marsh as well as a great variety of birdlife. All meals and overnight at AMBOSELI SERENA LODGE (full board).

DAY 4: Amboseli / Mt. Kenya

Depart after breakfast for the drive to Mt. Kenya National Park which hosts Kenya’s highest mountain and is rich in Pristine wilderness, lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks of great beauty, geological variety, forest, mineral springs, rare and endangered species of animals. Check-in upon arrival followed by lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon watching game from the Lodge terrace as animals arrive to quench thirst and lick minerals at the waterhole. DAY 5: Mt. Kenya / Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depart on a scenic drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a privately owned sanctuary and home to the only Chimp sanctuary in the country, established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. All meals and overnight at SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP (full board). DAY 6: Ol Pejeta Convervancy / Lake Elementaita

Drive down to the Rift Valley to Lake Elementaita which derives its name from the Maasai Ol muteita for “place of dust”. Check-in at the Serena Camp followed by lunch and spend the early afternoon at leisure. Depart later for an evening game drive in the Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy which protects over 450 bird species and 15,000 wild animals. Rothschild giraffes have found a safe haven for breeding here, while a diverse variety of terrain shelters many species - from herds of giant elands to tiny dik-diks and cliff-dwelling klipspringers. Dinner and overnight at ELEMENTAITA SERENA CAMP (full board).

DAY 7: Lake Elementaita / Maasai Mara

Travel to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. Check-in at the camp upon arrival followed by lunch and the early afternoon spent at leisure. You have 3 days to spend on game viewing drives. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. This is a spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. DAY 8 & 9: Maasai Mara

Spend a further two days in the Reserve on extensive game viewing drives. Wildlife is abundant in the Reserve with the gentle grasslands ensuring that animals are never out of sight. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. Every year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle; The Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. The promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.5 million Wildebeest together into a single massive herd. They converge across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. The big cats - lion, leopard, and cheetah - follow the wildebeest, essentially their main source of food, into the Mara. So the Mara at this time is literally packed with wildlife, providing lucky visitors on safari with superb sightings of game. All meals and overnights at MARA SERENA LODGE (full board).

DAY 10: Maasai Mara / Nairobi

After breakfast and check-out depart for the drive back to Nairobi with a game viewing drive en route. Enjoy the beautiful sceneries on the way making a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for an aerial view of the beautiful valley. Arrive in time for lunch at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant for a taste of the various meats. Transfer later to JKIA to check-in for your onward flight.
